ACV compared to Omeprazole (Losec) for Reflux

by Dana Rose
(Nelson, new Zealand)

French translation

I was put on Omeprazole - a very common drug to combat Acid Reflux.

After a week or two, I noticed I was having heart arrhythmia episodes...which gradually became more frequent and more intense.
I was very scared.

Eventually I realized they might be caused by the medication and when I mentioned it to the practice nurse she quietly said,"It has been known to have that effect"!!

When I mentioned it to my sister she said" Yes, Omeprazole gave me panic attacks".

That put me off taking any approved-of, scientifically-tested remedies and made me investigate alternative ones.

I have been taking 1 teaspoon of ACV with 1/2 teaspoon Active Manuka Honey in a mug of warm water 3 x a day for a week and yesterday and last night I had no acid Reflux whatsoever.

I am also careful about avoiding most acid-producing foods.

I am also sleeping better and have more energy.

My daughter began the same regime with me and her acne is gradually clearing up.

Reflux
by: Tschock

I have acid reflux,G.E.R.D,and I.B.S.

My doctors have tried me on all sorts of pills, and I too started with anxiety/panic attacks from the pills.
(The doctors put me on pills for the anxiety/panic and it made it worse so I stopped taking ALL pills)

A few months ago I started getting chest pains and I thought for sure that I was having a heart attack. The doctor said that I was fine and sent me home without further testing...

I talked to a lady on a health forum and she said that chest pain was a symptom of G.E.R.D (something that the doctors never told me).
She suggested ACV...
Am I EVER glad that she did!!

I can now sleep at night and no longer wake up in the morning facing anxiety/panic attacks!

I'm hoping that ACV will also work for my extremely high cholesterol as well.

I'm going to try ALL of the other ideas on this wonderful site...especially the hair and acne. lol
