ACV for hair cleaning

by dianna
(austin, TX)

French translation

I have been using ACV to clean my hair. I do this either by taking 5 teaspoons worth and mixing it with 3/4 liter of water and adding 3 to 5 drops of an essential oil like rosemary or patchouli and pouring this over my wet hair and then rinsing.

Alternatively, I wet my hair and then spray it with a mixture of 2/3 water and 1/3 ACV with lavender oil added and then rinse well and rub a few drops of rosemary or lavender oil in my hands and run through my hair.

Both of these work well for me.
The spray method is a little easier - since I always have a bottle of this spray that I use before bathing.

For bathing I just spray it all over and rub it in my skin (including my face) until it is all absorbed and then get into the bath or shower and scrub it off with a loofah.
It really helps my dead skin to come off easier and afterwards I feel very refreshed. When I get out of the bath I sometimes spray a little bit more on - and then I use virgin coconut oil on my still damp skin.

I find that if I use the ACV and VCO in this manner that I do not need to use deodorant! and my skin is softer and less prone to being dry or itchy.

virgin coconut oil
by: Anonymous

Hi

In regards to deodorant, I'd like to add that I've been using virgin coconut oil as a deodorant for weeks now and it's working wonderfully. Because it's summer, I sometimes have to reapply it during the day, but otherwise it's great.

This comment is in reply to the person from Austin in Texas. I live in New Zealand in the South Pacific. So hello to you all. I would just like to pick up on the word 'deodorant'....I do not know how many of you might know that there is absolutely no need for the use of deodorant if one follows a 100% raw food diet..fruits and vegetables, plus a very few nuts. Not really anything to do with hair but I thought it would be worthwhile mentioning it since the need for a deodorant is due only to the body being desperate to find a way of ridding itself of food ingested that is bad(poisonous) for it ( the body )
