I have been taking Braggs ACV with "the mother" and baking soda for about 3 weeks.

I also gave up most meat, except seafood and quit eating processed foods, buying mostly organic products now. I have lost about 10 lbs and feel great.

I do not call this a diet, but a lifestyle change. I had to change my thinking about what I was doing to my body and learn to care for my body as if it were a friend.

I take the ACV first thing in the morning and in the evening. I have also noticed my skin feels nicer, and I don't have the acid reflux or heartburn I used to feel constantly. I am trying to stick to a more alkaline way of eating.

It seems to be working. Will keep you posted.

The baking soda balances the acid and prevents the ACV from stripping the enamel off your teeth.

What is the benefits of baking soda? I have been drinking the Bragg ACV for about two weeks now. I also use it in my olive oil that I use on my skin and face. It's wonderful. I use the Bragg Amino Acids in my cooking and Bragg Dressings on my salads. But I have never heard of the baking soda. What is it used for and how do I incorporate it into my Bragg drink everyday? I am very interested!

GOV. Regulating Apple Cider Vinegar

My husband and I started taking organic apple cider vinegar about 2 weeks ago. Better skin, some weight loss (not been on scales, but can tell), sinuses better.

Big problem as of Dec. 31, 2009. New law or agreement with world trade organization and our gov. will require all foods to be irradiated and will start regulating all our supplements.

The good of organic vinegar will be destroyed and no telling how much supplement and vitamins, etc. will cost or how available. You might find some information through the name of ''kodex''. Has anyone else heard of this?

The "mother"

According to bragg.com (home of this "Bragg's ACV" you are all talking about,

The mother is the dark, cloudy substance in the ACV formed from naturally occurring pectin and apple residues - it appears as molecules of protein connected in strand-like chains. The presence of the mother shows that the best part of the apple has not been destroyed. Vinegars containing the mother contain enzymes and minerals that other vinegars may not contain due to overprocessing, filtration and overheating.
