How ACV helped with my Shingles

I got a bad case of shingles. My first and hopefully my last.

The anti-viral from the doctor's office, which I took, did NOTHING for the sharp stabbing nerve pains that accompany shingles.

I was directed to try ACV and it worked! The sharp stabbing pains that I had NO CONTROL over (and scared the patients at the doctor's office with my yelling) were manageable/practically gone within 30 minutes of drinking ACV in water. I did this 3 times a day and as soon as I did it, was able to sleep through the night finally after no sleep for almost 3 days.

It was also recommended I soak my feet in hot water and ACV, but I just took a hot bath and poured in half a bottle. No pain afterward.

And while I was laying in bed I applied ACV directly on the blisters with cotton pads.... bliss- pain was 60-80% reduced- which with shingles is saying a lot.

I've continued with the ACV and can only recommend you try it if you have shingles.

How acv helped my shingles
by: Carolyn (Upper Marlboro, USA

At the present I have been diagnosed with the shingles.

After being told by my oldest sister to mix apple cider vinegar in water and drink it, then put plain apple cider vinegar on the shingles it would help the itching and stinging and yes what a relief it works!

Didn't know that I had Shingles!
by: John (Bucks County Pa, USA)

Hi,
I'm 57 years old and trying to get in better shape and one day I thought I pulled a muscle.

A couple days later I saw pimples forming on my triceps, the muscle I thought I hurt, so I started cleaning the area with apple cider vinegar 3 times a day. It worked wonders on my eczema so I thought it couldn’t hurt.

It didn’t spread after that and it never really burned but the pain was like a pulled muscle and it didn’t get better.

I happened to have a physical that same week and that’s when I found out I had shingles. The pain is getting worse, but the rash isn’t.

I’m going to try drink the ACV to help the pain.
Thanks for the info.
John

It really works on shingles!
by: Sarah C (Rex, Georgia USA)

It works! I didn't have money to go to a doctor.. didn't want to either.. and didn't have a lot to spend on expensive natural products.

While up one night, not able to sleep due to the nerve pain and itching, I researched this and saw ACV works on shingles.

It was by far the strangest "treatment" I could ever imagine, but going back to my homeopathic training that like cures like, I decided to try it.

Amazing!

I had shingles when I was 17. I am now 59 and got it again.

I heat up ACV in the microwave and spray it on the infected areas.

Also hot baths with baking soda helps.

ACV burned my shingles like hell!
by: Dave (From Australia)

I tried using ACV for the relief of my shingles. It burned, and then burned more.........It got to the stage I had to take a shower to wash it off.

I am drinking the oral recommendation but it is too soon to know if it is doing any good.:(
