How Vinegar Helps with our Cats fleas....

Mixing a small amount of ACV in my cats water, plus a mix of water and vinegar (distilled or acv) in a spray bottle works great as a insect repellent... just remember do not get into yours or your pets eyes.

DO NOT USE TEA TREE OIL FOR CATS, we discovered all essential oils can be very fatal on the use of cats in that their kidneys can not digest it from their bodies and eventually even in small doses over time can be fatal.

So we got our 3-month supply of advantage and used it along with the vinegar (as the advantage just was not cutting it by itself) and we have noticed a vast improvement on the fleas... Of course we had to clean the whole house vacuum and steam cleaned with a vinegar solution found on this site for house cleaning... and our homemade vinegar/water spray bottle has kept the fleas off of us.

The vinegar is a great solution for our household in that we have small children plus our cats and we did not want a bunch of chemicals set loose that could be harmful to all.

Unfortunately it does take about 3 months to totally rid the house of fleas completely, as that they have a 3 month life cycle.

Thank You for having such a great site. =)

We lost our one cat due to UTI problems.

Two days there after my other two male cats also ended up in veterinary hospital with the same problems. Luckily they survived, although I don't know how I will survive after receiving the bill from the vet!!

Where do I buy the organic ACV? We are staying in Polokwane, Limpopo Province, South Africa.

Note from apple-cider-vinegar-benefits.com :
An organic apple cider vinegar (ACV), which is unfiltered and not pasteurized and made from whole apples, is the best type and can be found in most local health food stores here in North America and in some regular grocery stores.

I suspect that this would be the same in South Africa. If not, you can also purchase an organic ACV such as Bragg’s ACV on the internet from amazon.com

ACV takes care of fleas
by: Anonymous (Connecticut, USA)

Apple Cider Vinegar has worked so well for the fleas on my cat.

I give her a bath and rub about a cup of the apple cider vinegar in after I have soaped her up. Kills any fleas on the surface when I'm bathing her.

I tried frontline and a flea collar but both didn't work. Then, a family member mentioned that the vinegar does wonders and it really does.

I had a severe flea infestation in my house and had to fog 2 separate times and was worried about having my cat exposed to more chemicals.

The apple cider vinegar really works for fleas (they hate it).

My cat and my dog are free of fleas and ticks since I include ACV in their bath water and wet towel rubs.
