A Healthier Leaner Me I CAN DO THIS with ACV!

by Rose

French translation

I'm a tall woman that stepped on the scale 11 days ago and saw 254 lbs. so I've vowed to make a lifestyle change.

I don't have any special events coming up, I am not doing this because it's a new year or for anyone but myself...I've had enough of sitting down and feeling uncomfortable because my jeans were digging into my belly.

I've had enough of looking at this double chin every time I looked in the mirror.

I've had enough of these love handles and rolls of fat on my back.

Now on to the ACV...

I have used ACV quite often over the years for my hair and for my skin (toners and facial masks). I have used it for drinks as well but I was never consistent.

Although it's only been 10 days I am LOVING the changes so far.

First this is what I do...

In the morning I fill up a 32 oz. plastic cup that has a cover (the kind you get at sporting events) with room temp distilled water. I've been putting 2 tablespoons of Braggs ACV in it along with a half teaspoon of Manuka honey. I drink half the water.

Wait about 15 mins. then have breakfast (usually just a healthy cereal with rice milk and a piece a fruit or oatmeal with raisins.) I finish the rest of the water within the hour.

About an hour and a half later I workout at home for about 20 - 30 mins. doing a mixture of DVD videos and getting on my mini stair stepper. When I'm done working out I'll drink a glass of water eat a Nutragrain type bar.

Around noon I prepare another ACV/water cocktail and drink half of it. 15 mins. later I'll have lunch (something like a turkey salad with veggies and fruit). An hour later I'll do Pilates for about 15 - 20 mins.

For a mid-afternoon snack I'll have something like regular water, a homemade fruit smoothie, tea or chocolate milk (the powered kind but I use water) with unsalted cashews or crackers.

Fifteen minutes before dinner I'll finish the remaining 16 oz. of the ACV cocktail from earlier.

Doing this for 10 days has got me down to 244 lbs!!! That's 10 lbs. in 10 days folks!!! In the first 5 days I lost 7 lbs.! People have already noticed my weight loss too which inspires me further.

Although I have been going to the restroom like crazy and waking up in the middle of the night to go (both ways---sorry!) my mind is clearer, I have much more energy, all cravings are gone (I HAD a sweet tooth), my face and stomach are getting slimmer and my clothes are fitting much, much better! This is just a start though and I'm not stopping.

So along with drinking ACV (4 tablespoons per day) and drinking approximately 80 oz. of water everyday, what's been helping me is changing my mindset about food (eating to live not living to eat), getting active along with watching the calories. I am not starving myself or doing strenuous exercise.

I truly hope my words and/or routine helps someone out there.

Good luck!

Still Maintaining! :)
by: Rose

Hi everyone! Just sending a quick message to say that I am still maintaining my weight with ease!

I drink a couple of teaspoons of ACV most days of the week. I take a tablespoon of coconut oil on an empty stomach every morning and I also intermittent fast where I eat all of my calories in a window of time everyday.

Also I am active. I mainly power walk (3+ miles everyday) and I do strength-training 2 - 4 days a week.

At almost 40 I'm in the best shape of my life!

Good luck to you all with all of your goals!

Still keeping at it and still maintaining my weight loss!
by: Rose

Hi everyone!

Thank you Anonymous and keep up the good work! I hope you're still keeping with it!

It's been 2 and a half years since my first post and I'm very happy to report that I've been maintaining my weight loss for one year.

I'm 5'11 and I maintain in between 170 - 175 lbs which is the "normal" range for my height.

Everyday I eat 1 tablespoon of cold-pressed coconut oil and I drink ACV. Lately I've been using a 20 oz water bottle and been putting 3 tablespoons of ACV in it and sipping through a straw throughout the day. However I do take occasional breaks from this routine.

Also I drink 64 additional ounces of water and 2 - 3 cups of herbal tea everyday. I cut out store-bought juice, pop and alcohol, but I do make protein shakes, fruit smoothies and freshly squeezed juice at home.

Maintain a slight calorie deficit, watch your portion sizes, exercise several times per week (even walking for 20 - 30 mins. is better than nothing), sip on ACV and stay consistent and watch the pounds come off. No need for diets, pills or even a gym membership.

You can do it!!

My waistline is separating from my hips!
by: Anonymous

Congratulations on your progress! Keep up the good work.

ACV really does work. I love looking at my image in the mirror and seeing my waistline separating from my hips!

My energy level is up, and my hair is growing and glowing. I love this stuff!

Making a start today
by: JC

Hi all, I am 21 years old, Sri Lankan Living in the Middle East. I weigh 275 pounds as of this morning. I am 5'8" tall.

I reset my weighing scale last night and I weighed 17 pounds more than I was 2 months back, and was really really shocked and very upset and totally miserable.

I normally watch what I eat but I ate a lot from outside and not at home.
SO since last night I made it a point to eat fruits and steamed vegetables from today onwards, exercise for minimum 30 minutes on my cycling machine at home and drinking ACV twice a day morning and night .

I am really hoping it works, I am going to use this page as my report journal, I really hope this will bring me 100 pounds down over time.

I have been hurt a lot since childhood as I always was a big girl. But no more.
Please wish me all the best I will keep updating. :) tc all

An update!
by: Rose

I wanted to post an update since it has been more than 6 months since I have posted here.

Things are going wonderfully for me. I am still drinking ACV, not as much as before, but mainly when I first wake up and about an hour before going to bed.

The last time I checked I weighed 212 lbs and I wear a size (US) 12/14 and continuing to drop inches! I exercise 6 days per week for about 1 hour. I don't diet, but I watch what I eat and make substitutions.

I'm no longer obsessed with the scales since I am gaining a lot of muscle (but I look smaller), but I am hoping to be in the 190's by Feb. or March.

ACV has been the catalyst to help me start losing weight, but ultimately making a lifestyle change by exercising consistently and watching what I am eating have helped me to maintain.

Best of luck to everyone.

Thank you for reading my story and taking the time to post a comment!

You are so right about motivation and following through, but I actually have acquired a taste for ACV. I never thought that would happen when I first started!
Good luck to you.

I'm shrinking!
by: Rose

I just past month 4. I'm taking ACV one week on and one week off. I am also not weighing myself often, but I have dropped 3 dress sizes and everyone I know has commented on my weight loss. :)

I would like to add EVCO to my diet, but I'm having trouble locating a brand that doesn't have a strong coconut flavor. If anyone knows of any brand it would be appreciated! :-)

Still doing great :)
by: Rose

Thanks so much for reading my story and for your positive feedback Lorri!

As of March 9, 2012 I'm down 20 lbs. That's 20 lbs. in 2 months! I'm still working out lightly and eating healthy, but I do have an occasional snack or sweet.

I'm still drinking ACV everyday because it gives me so much energy and helps a great deal with digestion.

Also, I've found that I'm doing better with ingesting ACV/water AFTER meals not before. I do add a splash of fresh lemon juice once in a while as well. However, I believe staying consistent is the key!

Good luck everyone!

UPDATE
by: Rose

Just wanted to post a quick update. I just past the one month mark and although I'm not weighing myself often, the last time I checked I was at 241 lbs!

Also I have lost a considerable amount of inches particularly in my waist and hips. My waist has not been this tight since college! Lastly, my face has slimmed down a lot and my complexion and hair looks amazing.

Once I get to the 2 month mark I will probably start taking a week off every so often. If I keep this up, I'm going to need to purchase a whole new wardrobe! :-)
