How Vinegar Cured Cat Mange!

Two years ago I got my sister a Cat named "Mystic," she was a spayed Bengal rescue who had been returned to the breeder.

About a year after my sister got the cat, she started to loose all her fur, from shoulders to tail. The vet said, "Flea allergies as it doesn't look like mites/mange."

For two months we tried Revolution, ear mite treatment and diet change...nothing worked!

After much research I told my sister about the Apple Cider Vinegar sponge baths. We gave a total of 3 baths in 3 weeks (every 5 days).

After 17 days all of her fur had grown back!

Apple cider vinegar
by: Anonymous

This treatment is definitely working... Both of my cats had been gnawing and loosing fur around base of tail and my girl cat loads on her tummy.

I nit comb them regularly for fleas and flea and worm but nothing was working.

My boy cat hates going to the vets, its a traumatic experience for both him and me, so I thought I'd look at home remedies as for 2 cats with the same problem is costly at the vets.

Day 1 made up a treatment with warm water sponged the cats down and their stomachs which they didn't like, gave them both treats and noticed within a few hours they were both calmer.

I've now done this 3 times and on both cats fur is growing back really quickly.... And although they don't really like having it done they tolerate it as their feeling better.

I would definitely recommend but don't put near open wounds.

We have a cat that has Mange right now.

If we get the apple cider vinegar, how much water do we put in with it to use it on our manged cat?

Tried to bathe my cat in ACV today (I have found evidence of mites on her back legs and also around her neck/ears).... ARE YOU ALL TRYING TO KILL ME?!?!
apple-cider-vinegar-benefits.com - quite a cat you've got there... Did you dilute the vinegar with an equal quantity of water?

will this burn the skin
by: Anonymous

Will this sting or hurt? My cat is so raw and bloody in some areas?
apple-cider-vinegar-benefits.com - Start very gently with the SPONGE bath, using a mixture half water/half apple cider vinegar. You may want to treat a small area first to see how her body reacts (wait 24 hrs and see) before doing it all. DO NOT STROKE ! Only dab gently with the wet sponge, (cotton balls or make off pads). If using a sponge, use a new or very clean one that will only be used for that purpose - 3" x 1/2" thick round sponges sold for make up removal do a great job, rinse well and let dry between applications. Observe the skin and behaviour of your cat. Do not overdo it. Once or twice a day is plenty, dabbing only, then let AIR DRY. NO rubbing.
In case of doubt, or if there is no improvement after a few days, do not hesitate to consult your vet!

lets see
by: Anonymous

I have mixed a half warm water/half ACV mix into a old icecream container, and using a throw away dish cloth, stroked my cat in all of the affected areas. It took a couple of tries but I think she already experienced some relief after the first try, so allowed me to do it a little more the second time. I will try again tomorrow, and until I start to see some difference.

It worked on my cat too
by: LRH

Within the last year my cat started scratching and knawing at her fur and skin uncontrollably to the point it would leave her exhausted.

She lost a lot of her hair from her shoulders down to her tail.

After purchasing a "natural remedy" on line I decided against using it as it required gloves and complicated mixing instructions etc. I found out about ACV on the web and decided to try it.

Equal parts Raw ACV and water. I applied to her coat. She tried to run. Of course she hated it but within 20 minutes she was resting comfortably as if she could finally relax. Her coat felt softer the next day and by using the every 5 day method and putting a couple drops in her water she was cured within a month.

It took another month or two for her hair to come back completely but there is no doubt that this treatment works!
